All Magnet families, of both new and continuing students, will be sent a message by TSD to opt-in for transportation by May 3. The message is expected to go out today. Transportation is looking to get an idea of where to place stops and routes. Therefore, they want as many people as possible to submit a response by May 3. The transportation opt-in process will continue to be available after May 3rd for accepted students from the wait/late list.
As of now, all parents must opt-in through either the parent portal or when they originally accept a magnet seat (especially for new families without PINS) We understand that you have concerns around students enrolling after the deadline and we’re working to ensure that they have transportation.
Also new for next year, TSD is offering transportation for secondary students who reside outside a 2-mile radius and elementary students outside a 1-mile radius.
